Lightner Museum provides a spectacular setting for special events. Corporate functions, award ceremonies, dinners and dances can be memorable evenings held in the Museum's elegant environs. The opulence of a bygone era provides a unique backdrop for weddings and wedding receptions. Events ranging in size from 50 to 400 guests can be accommodated. Rates vary according to the size and type of event. The Museum is available for events after 6:00 pm any day of the week except Christmas day. |

The Museum offers a variety of options for weddings. The former indoor swimming pool of the Alcazar Hotel can accommodate 200 - 300 guests for your reception. The third floor ballroom is available for an hour prior to your reception, cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres may be served in this standing only space for 200-300 guests. The magnificent lobby of the Museum is available for wedding ceremonies. The limit is 100 guests, chairs are provided.
Other areas in the museum are available for a more intimate setting. The Museum will try to accommodate you as best as possible and tailor the evening to your special event. Contact our staff for details.
Rental rates for weddings:
Option 1: Reception in grand pool area: $10,000
Option 2: Reception in grand pool area: $10,000
plus ballroom for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres: $5,000 = $15,000 total
Option 3: Reception in grand pool area: $10,000
plus lobby (ceremony only): $2,500 = $12,500 total
